Worship in the Sanctuary

This Sunday, we begin the season of Eastertide and our new worship series, “Open Hands: Holding What Matters Most.” Through Easter, loss is transformed. A resurrection faith is not about clinging more tightly, but about learning to live with open hands.

Rev. Karyn Richards-Kuan will preach on John 20:11-18 (Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene) and how the risen Christ cannot be clutched, managed, or contained. Together, we will explore what it means to let go of the versions of Jesus we prefer (predictable, familiar, controllable) so that we may receive the living Christ who sends us into the world.

The Livestream will begin at 10:20 a.m. on YouTube. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m.
